If anyone missed EBN when they were first around, you should spend a few minutes at their lovely internet website.

You will find lots of great Jack Dangers beats and weird, distressing and obsessively well-executed media mashups from the Clinton era.

That is great.

For once I wish I was Banksy.

WFMU is looking out for you, and for me... and they have found Brian Bress's video for Wounded Lion.

Hey, great!

And for all you guys looking for some great 1930s or 40s Halloween tracks, check out these collections. All those songs from the Betty Boop/Cab Calloway/Louis Armstrong Halloween films, plus a bunch of other obscure stuff that you will like a lot. Plus some hair-raising photos of Hollywood starlets being scared by pumpkins, and the like.

Hey! I love Sylvain Chomet and he was written up to sound like an arrogant French geezer in the NY Times yesterday.

This Desperaux mouse looks just like the mechanic who fixes the bicycle machine for the Wine Mafia in Triplets of Belleville, (not to mention that he also bears a strong resemblance to Cheburashka) so I don't know if it really counts as a "new" character design, but whatever, please list Mr. Chomet in the credits. So that more people will conceivable watch Triplets, which is one of the greatest movies ever made. Really.

(Even though Mr. Chomet left Nicolas de Crécy (one of the single most talented artists in the world of animation/bandes dessinées) out of the credits for Triplets. After Mr. de Crécy did the art direction, until he left the production. Which makes the present controversy a little ironic, I think.)

I love you both, Sylvain and Nicolas. Please make another movie together OK?

(PS the picture above is from the little-known, but beautiful and hilarious short La Vieille Dame et les Pigeons. Go watch it.)

OCTOCAT you can watch them here ... thanks Cartoon Brew

Also **unbelievable** Sea Orchestra from Shy the Sun, who made Tale of How. There are a bunch of amazing ads from United Airlines - including one by SSSR, another favorite of mine - that need to get watched.

Big thanks to Cartoon Brew for pointing these out!
