Jim's blog is the place to go to keep up with the latest in radial symmetry.

All the cool kids are doing it.

Jim is the master of it.
Somebody had to design Fred Flintstone? As in, sit at a desk and decide if Fred's hands have palms or not?

Now I know that this guy was Ed Benedict and that he just passed away. This is the kind of stuff I would simply never, ever, ever have learnt about before Al Gore invented the interweb.

Thanks, and I mean thanks, to the mighty cartoonbrew.

Plus, props to John (Ren and Stimpy) K for his heartfelt and convincingly-argued post.
WORD POWER

(a) How To Speak 19th Century is a primer on using 150-year-old slang like a real prospector. Thanks boingboing!

(b) For advanced users of English, there's always English As She Is Spoke.

(c) Top it off with this 'un. Thanks to the Fellswoop... no chuu?

Heh! Heh!

Another winning night at WFMU blog!

Which of course reminds me of the magnificently inspiring Frozen Brass compilations, which anyone planning a wedding should be up to their ears in.

Ahh... brass.

Ken's New Specs is a tiny movie by Nicolas Gurewich. I chuckle at his antics every week in the Weekly Dig, but it never occurred to me to check him out online until he got profiled at Cartoon Brew. What a lot of laffs!!

I haven't posted about Froodmat in a while... so here. A reminder: check out Froodmat's photos on Flickr sometime when you are feeling down. He seems to live in an enchanted parallel world with more colors and waaaaay more serendipity than most of us encounter.

Or, as his motto suggests, he brings a camera wherever he goes, and takes pictures most of the time. OK? OK!

Gawd I'm so embarrassed to have missed this'un. Secret Fun Blog continues to smash the barriers between real life and twinky, depressingly recursive internet postings.

Once again, SFB allows real life to take hold, with hilarious results. This guy exhales genius! Behold his visit to Vegas.

And try not to buy airline tickets immediately.
I'm sorry.. did I forget to post anything for six weeks? Yep. I've been riding my bike, playing with the toddlers in my house, and watching old episodes of Firefly over and over.

Reading Kidnapped.

Communing with nature.

Not blogging.

Today I break my fast, due to finding signs of life over at PES ... old Atari games rendered in household objects with standard PES flair. Enough to get me off my bike and make my kids get off my shoulders for a minnit.

Bon Appetit!
